No "encoder" required.
I wrote code in the software that allows the use of the Channel Selector switch to go up or down. It even deals with the out-of-sequence steps around channel 23. This means you won't need to rebuild the channel selector area of your radio to have a 3 digit display!
**As promised - easy installation.
Galaxy 9X9's are still Plug & Play. Uniden made radios such as Cobra and others will still need the adapters so soldering is required on these.
**Continuous channel tuning. No skips. Cobra=26.065 to 27.975 or 26.815 to 28.725. Galaxy coverage depends on model. Buyers choice.You can choose to use either band. The display will track the frequencies/channels correctly. Both the 11.1125 and 11.3258 in Cobra's. Or swap the crystal for 26.065 to 27.975.
**SquelchScanTM. Scan Up or Down. Scan stops when a signal is received.
**There are 2 display modes available accessed via a switch.
Display modes are;
Frequency = 6.96 (26.965-CB Ch 1)
CB Ch 1 Reference = -90 thru u97 (Kit crystal)
- indicates all channels below 1
u indicates all channels above 40
e.g. c19, indicates cb channels. A's are 03A, 07A, etc.)
The displays will be available in either Blue-35mcd, Red-30mcd or Green-25mcd(dim).

**Another new feature is the 5-Memory Channel feature.
Using Store and Get on a SPDT momentary switch. One way stores it, the other selects it and the radio jumps to it.
Stores up to 5 channels for instant recall.
**There's a Band UP/Down feature. The CSF switch changes your channel selector to a band switch. Jump 45 channels up or down with the click of the channel selector.
**Price includes an internal PCBoard display kit (to replace internal channel display,but not required).
Internal display will require soldering.This kit is assembled after your order is received. Please allow for assembly time.

TERMS:
"Stock/No option" means just that. These receive only a general tune up or minor mods like adding a CTCSS module, or doing the frequency conversion, etc.
"Stock/No option radios" are usually less than 1 week.
"Custom/Modified" examples include LesComm Enhancements, Basic Clarifier mod, Amp Switch, Hi Cut Filter, etc. just to name a few. However if you add a lot of these small upgrades it could move your order to the "Major Custom" category. Normal turn around time for "Custom/Modified radio's" 10 to 20 business days depending on model. Depending on the difficulty of your build or the builds in front of it, this time could be longer.
"Major Custom" in this case means that you have added customizing options that requires significant modification(s) to the stock radio that takes more than 20 hours to accomplish. Like complete radio tear-downs and rebuilds as a different radio. Normal turn around times for "Major Custom Build radio's" 30 to 90 business days. Depending on the difficulty of your build or the builds in front of it, this time could be longer.
Radios are built AFTER they are ordered in the order of "payment" received. Depending on the difficulty of your build or the builds in front of it, these times could be longer. Remember, if you want changes made to your radio, those changes take time.
Scanners ship within two business days.
